Thursday night was the annual Mister Global competition in Thailand. The 2019 winner of the male beauty pageant was Kim Jong-woo of South Korea. If you have an hour, you can see the entire competition, including the swimsuit stroll, on video.
Or you can see all the contestants in portraits of their national costumes in a gallery at imgur. Although some appear a bit over-the-top, they do not approach the levels of the Miss Universe national costumes, and each contestant paid a lot of attention to representing their nation's culture. Things USA could have done:Cowboy~Train-conductor~Farmer (suspenders, pitchfork... no shirt and straw hat)~Businessman~Pilot ~Soldier. All of these are totally American and non-offensive. Superman isn't even from earth. This is an F-, the other countries were great!

Also we have to be careful not to appropriate the cultures of America. I think the white guy from South Africa was perhaps more offensive wearing traditional indginous African or faux African costume. Superman is pretty safe culture-wise.

He could have dressed as a Cowboy but Comics/movies/tv all are representative of our culture too. Superman is a pretty all American superhero(who didn't get his powers from drug use). Sadly though the Superhero costume could have been awesome but he looks like i just picked one off the shelf at a costume shop. Should have got a custom cosplay piece made that would have looked a lot better.
