Heroic Cow Helps Police Capture Fleeing Burglars

Thieves Navan, County Meath, Ireland broke into a home while the residents were away on holiday. Alerted to their presence, police pursued them. The burglars fled in a car until they ran into a cul-de-sac, then continued on foot across a field.

That's when they messed with the wrong cow. The Irish Times reports:

One of the cows, a court was told, began charging the burglars and forced one of them, Daniel Lawlor, 23, to run straight into the path of a garda cordon, which was lying in wait on a road at the other side of the field, where he was promptly arrested.
None of the other gang members were caught, however.
“They were of valuable assistance,” Det Pat Muldowney said speaking about his bovine backers.

That beast knows all the right mooooves and how to go hell for leather. The steaks were high in this incident, but Bossie was no cow-ard. The thief definitely has a beef with her, while the police are glad she decided to horn in. There, I think I've milked it for all it's worth.
