We all know the United States is strange, but there are some geographic oddities in this video that you might not have already known. RealLifeLore picked out some interesting facts that just don't seem like they make any sense, unless you live in the area they're talking about. Related to the Dalhart distance, Key West is 432 miles away from Tallahassee, which means the capitals of Cuba (115 mi) and The Bahamas (272 mi) are closer than the state capital. Key West is also closer to British territory - the Cayman Islands are 363 miles away - and Mexico - CancĂșn is 406 miles away - than the state capital. Distances measured as great circle distances from airport to airport.
