Burning Man 2017 will unfortunately be remembered for a tragic reason, since 41-year-old Aaron Mitchell ran into one of the ritual bonfires and died of fatal burn wounds, but as usual there was lots of amazing artwork there too.
So let's focus on the one indisputably good thing Burning Man brings to Nevada's Black Rock desert each year- the incredible artwork and art cars created by the creative attendees.
This year there was a giant ballerina puppet controlled by crane, a shimmering squid and whale that got lost on the way to the ocean, and what can only be described as a post-apocalyptic concrete playground.
I'm honestly surprised more people don't get hurt or die each year at Burning Man...
