It wasn't hard for the Ghostbusters to determine what state of mind the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man was in- if his facial features were twisted into a scowl then he was angry, which he emphasized by smashing everything in his path. Come to think of it anger was Stay Puft's only expression, but had he not been quickly reduced to a pile of steaming hot marshmallow fluff we could have seen more sides to the massive mascot. But according to this chart Stay Puft's expressions are about 75% angry, so maybe it's best we didn't see his other sides!
