We have covered the Bechdel Test before; it's a simple way to tell if a movie had any women at all involved in the creative process.
1) Does it have two or more women in it (who have names) ?
2) Do they talk to one another?
3) Do they talk to one another about something other than a man?
If not, we know that the woman or two are just there as accessories to the male roles. A list at TVOM looks at some blockbuster movies you may not have realized that fail the test. It just goes to show how well we've internalized the Hollywood gender imbalance.
