It seems that every human occupation will eventually find its characters in film, leaving those movie characters as favorites for those particular professionals -except for bloggers, they're not at all interesting. And so it is with the pest control professional. It's a battle between man and whatever is infesting the set, which is enough of a conflict for a film, especially if the actor is good, like Bill Murray as Carl Spackler in the 1980 classic Caddyshack. You can argue that he is a groundskeeper, but within the story, his main task is getting rid of a gopher. And he takes that task very seriously.
