Evidence of a Christmas Intruder

Santa Claus has definitely been to this house. Redditor deathcastle shared how his girlfriend's father arranged the Christmas morning evidence, as he has for years. His daughter is 26. When you start doing things like this for your children, it's hard to stop. Others went nuts about the house itself, asking if it were in Skyrim or the Shire. It's a 500-year-old home in Oxfordshire, England. Redditor moodpecker told a story of how he knew Santa was real.

When I was a kid, we all knew to make sure we didn't leave a fire burning Christmas Eve so as not to as not to endanger Santa. I wanted proof of Santa one year, and had the bright idea to put some empty milk cartons in the fireplace so that Santa would squash them on the way down. Christmas morning, sure enough, there was a giant butt-shaped dent in the pile of milk cartons in the fireplace.

CrystalElyse, too.

My dad used to do something similar! Our living room had a light carpet and a fireplace. My dad would dip his workboots in the ashes in the fireplace, then leave foot prints going from the fireplace, to the tree, to the cookies (which would have a bite taken out of them), and back to the fireplace.

Did you ever come across evidence of Santa's visit, besides the gifts?
