A tourist in Iceland wanted to send a letter to a woman he (or she) met at a farm in Hvammsveit several months earlier. But the tourist was in Reykjavík and didn’t know the street address of the farm. So he drew a map on the envelope, and added a description (in English) to help the postal service out. The farm is not all that obscure to the locals.
The farm is considered a small tourist attraction in the area as it boasts a “mini zoo” where the owners encourage visitors to pet their horses, goats, sheep, pigs, and other animals. It does have an address, but when you search for the one listed on its Facebook page, you're placed smack dab in the middle of a lake.
The letter, as you may have guessed, made it to its intended recipient. That’s doable when your entire country has the population of Tampa. And what’s more, the top comment in the original reddit thread is someone who also knows the letter’s recipient. -via Boing Boing
