Usain Bolt and His Smile Won the Olympics

Imagine training all your life for one ten-second race at the Olympics, and not only does the fastest man alive blow past you, but he is also mugging for the cameras as he does it. This just may be the premiere image from the Rio Olympics- Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt smiling as he leads the pack to win his third gold medal in the men’s 100-meter dash (his seventh overall). The fastest man in the world clocked in at 9.81 seconds, defeating American Justin Gatlin, who came in second. Bolt will next compete in the 200-meter and 4x100-meter relay, events he also won in 2008 and 2012. See a roundup of Twitter jokes about the picture here. -via Uproxx
