Would You Use a “Chork”?

Behold the “chork,” a combination of chopsticks and a fork. You may see one at a Panda Express near you soon. Going by the diagram on the wrapping, you can pull the fork apart to use the chopsticks. It’s hard to tell the size from the picture, but it seems like it would be awfully long for a fork or too short for chopsticks. Lisa Jennings followed up her Tweet with another that said,

Calm down, everyone. @pandaexpress is just CONSIDERING the chork. No plans for roll out yet.

No word on the reasoning behind the utensil. If Panda Express offers it alongside traditional plastic forks and chopsticks, it will only be selected by people who want to make their mind up later, like when your food is cold. If the chork is going to replace standard utensils, people who don’t like it will be out of luck. -via Uproxx

This is a great invention! It looks like those practise chopsticks that are connected at the top, which bends, so anyone can use them.

Personally, though, I feel a spoon on top would be slightly more useful.
