The Code Black Group has a map that shows where the wealthiest and poorest counties in the U.S. are based on the median income for each. What’s even more interesting is the list that accompanies it that has all the counties in the U.S. in rank order. The top eight have median incomes over $100K and five of them are right around the District of Columbia. While the title draws you to focus on the wealthiest, I was surprised to find my county, and most of the counties surrounding mine, in the very bottom twenty. They also did a similar map and ranking of counties by the percentage of the population with a bachelor’s degree, and the lists are a lot alike. -via Digg
