The music of Pink Floyd has changed so many lives since they made their debut with the seminal psych rock album The Piper at the Gates Of Dawn back in 1967.
So when the movie adaptation of The Wall came out in 1982 it naturally touched audiences deeply as well, and Bob Geldof's performance as Pink left us all ready and willing to tear down our walls so we don't self-destruct.
But as you can see from these behind-the-scenes photos from The Wall there was a kind of schizophrenic feeling to the production, as if they were making different films with vastly different voices.
And yet after watching the film you can see how this filmmaking madness came together as a work of pure genius, and all the production wars were fought for the sake of Pink Floyd fans the world over.
