This Former Monk Has Been Building His Own Cathedral For The Last 50 Years

The masons and builders who conceived of and constructed the most famous cathedrals in the world had a legion of workers helping them bring their blessed vision to life in a timely manner.

This video by Great Big Story focuses on Justo Gallego Martinez and his holy mission to build a memorial cathedral to Our Lady of the Pillar on the plot of land he inherited near Madrid, Spain.

It's equal parts inspiring and heartwrenching, and you'll be amazed by what Justo has been able to accomplish with his own two hands while driven by faith.
