It didn’t take long for accusations of plagiarism to start flying on Twitter. Readers even lined up behind their favorite comics. But it was all an April Fool’s Day prank. Webcomic artists from all over got together and planned this.

Just like women meteorologists, webcomic artists have their own private Facebook group where they talk shop. It was there that Alex Norris of Dorris McComics shared a template for today’s joke, and the other artists ran with it. They each have their own style, even if the joke is the same.
