Baby Announcement Texted to Wrong Number. Guy Shows up with Presents Anyway.

Deorick Williams got a text message with some great news: Lindsey Lashley's baby had been born!

But he had no idea who Lindsey was. He had been sent the text message by accident. Nonetheless, he continued the conversation . . .

Lindsey and her husband Mark apologized for the confusion once they understood that they didn't know Deorick. But by then, Deorick wanted to visit and meet the baby.

Deorick and his brother showed up to welcome the baby and meet his happy parents.

ABC News (auto-start video) describes their happy meeting:

Williams said he and his brother brought diapers, pacifiers and baby bottles to the new parents, Mark and Lindsey Lashley. The family welcomed the Williams brothers into their hospital room and seemed touched by the gesture.

"We had a great time," Williams told ABC News. "I was invited already, so I thought I might as well go. And why not bring gifts?"

It makes me sooo happy and - I really have no greater word - maybe, 'verklempt' to say how much this kindness means to strangers that they did not know and yet wanted to tell these people how happy they were for them and hoped this child's future was a great possibility for him.
