It's pretty embarrassing to travel to a destination and then pronounce its name incorrectly for the duration of your stay. The linked article put together a group of city names  both in the United States and abroad  that are frequently mispronounced, and ventures to inform us how the locals say the word.

In PA, Dauphin is pronounced "daw-fin" stress on first not "daw-fa" stress on second

And make sure to stress the first syllable for Lancaster
