It appears that after playing Hal in the TV series Malcolm in the Middle, the role of Walter White in Breaking Bad wasn’t that much of a stretch for Bryan Cranston. The UK arm of Comedy Central found plenty of evidence that the two characters are uncannily similar.
Of course, Malcolm in the Middle has a laugh track, which makes it is a comedy. And then there’s the fact that Hal wasn’t even the central character.
