Keyboard Problems

The character in today’s xkcd comic must use a Mac. I’ve used Macs for almost thirty years, and can verify that you will wear out three or four keyboards for every computer that goes obsolete. And that’s even discounting keyboards that users try to wash. Right now my previous Mac, which was given to the kids, is completely unusable because the keyboard is messed up. Oh, I have several other keyboards, but they are all messed up in one way or another. The kids don’t care; they have hand-held devices. I use a wireless keyboard now, which was replaced just last month (under warranty) because it failed. I have become an expert in typing with a mouse via copy and paste.

I will look it up! It would be awesome to have a working backup, and a working keyboard for the living room computer, too! It is an Apple product, but I'll take your word that it lasts longer.

Edit: Now that I've taken a good look, I see I have three of these keyboards already -all of them messed up. Maybe it's just me.

I bought my keyboard on Amazon. This is my 2nd keyboard (same version) because I spilled juice on the first one and it couldn't be saved. They now have a newer version - mine's 2 or 3 years old. It's called "Apple wired keyboard with numeric keypad MB110LL/B". I love mine. It's quiet when you type and it's slim and I like the feel of the keys when I type. It's a very reasonable price, IMO: $48.49 and free shipping. Perhaps you'll try one?
