15 Awesome Sand Castles Inspired by Disney and Pixar

The kids may be back to school and Labor Day may already have passed, but summer doesn't technically end until September 22. So if you're one of those procrastinators that still needs to get out to the beach, maybe these awesome Disney sand sculptures will give you the motivation you need to enjoy a little more summer before the season crawls to a close.

Brave

To announce the release of Brave back in 2012, Disney World made this impressive sculpture. Keys to the Magic Travel even noted that she knew the sculpture was real because after it rained that day, the art already needed a little repair.

Wall-E

Hans Veneman spotted this impressive Wall-E tribute at the Disney-themed European Sand Sculptures Festival in Noordwijk.

Sleeping Beauty

You'd have to be asleep to not appreciate the beauty of this amazing creation displayed at the European Sand Sculptures Festival in Noordwijk also photographed by Hans Veneman.

Fantasia

This epic Fantasia sculpture was a four-sized masterpiece with centaurs, sorcerer Mickey and dancing animals everywhere. Marie -ll captured the artists at work on the amazing creation.

Sleeping Beauty's Castle

Sleeping Beauty's Castle from Paris Disneyland was brilliantly recreated at the 2011 Sand Sculpture Festival in Blankenberge.

Walt Disney & Mickey

According to Inside the Magic, Disney's own PR department was so impressed by the sculptures at the Sand Sculpture Festival in Blankenberge that they spoke to artists at the event to discuss building similar creations at their parks.

Snow White

Poisoned apples look decidedly less delicious when carved in sand -which I'm sure is a big problem for this evil witch.

Alice in Wonderland

Who doesn't love a mad tea party -especially with a crazy Hatter that would dissolve if he was actually exposed to the beverage.

Cars

Whether you love Cars or simply the Radiator Springs Racers at California Adventure, it's hard not to adore this cute Lightning McQueen sculpture featured at the Sand Sculpture Festival in Blankenberge.

The Lion King

The artist who carved this masterpiece did an unbelievable job at capturing the malice and regality of Mufasa's greatest adversary.

The Sword in the Stone

While Disney parks encourage you to get hands on an attempt to pull the sword from the stone, something tells me the artists and curators at the Sand Sculpture Festival in Blankenberge wouldn't have been so happy if you made the same effort here.

Ratatouille

What's worse than discovering a rat in your kitchen? Probably discovering it's a sand rat that's been cooking all your food! But hey, at least they're cute.

Mickey and Minnie

Who doesn't love a day at the beach -especially when they're made out of sand? Mickey and Minnie sure know what summer's all about.

Pirates of the Caribbean

You don't need to go to the depths of the sea's deepest locker to enjoy a great look at Davey Jones. Instead, enjoy this incredible sea sculpture version taken by Norbert Schnitzler.

Frozen

It's just like Olaf always dreamed -a lazy day in the sun and sand. Best of all, he's sure not to melt this time.

I don't know about you guys, but just looking at all these fun pics makes me want to go to the beach -and then immediately head for Disneyland. I'd better get packing!
