The Most Frustratingly Difficult Stairs You'll See All Day

It won't be enough to absentmindedly stroll up and down the stairs. You'll have to think about where you're placing your feet or you'll tumble down. JSa Architecture, a firm in Mexico City and Lima, designed these stairs, although it's not clear why.

I don't see anything complicated. Right foot, left foot, repeat. They might be a problem for small children (and maybe the elderly) who often take steps one at a time with both feet, but most adults skip every other step with each opposite respective foot. I guess if you're used to starting stairs on the left foot (I wonder if handedness generally dictates that) it might cause an issue.
The might look difficult, but they actually have treads exactly where your feet need and only what you use during a standard right-foot-initiated climb.
Plus, great for thwarting unknowing intruders who enter your home. :P

Are we back to "designers being arses" again? It doesn't look like there's an shortage of space that would make you choose a form of staircase that is less accessible than one that's easier to use.
