Everyone tries to conserve water these days, but it can be hard to find ways to cut back on water usage in our homes.
And yet, no matter what we do to conserve water, people are generally hesitant to alter their shower routine, which is an easy place to start lowering the amount of water we use.
London-based designer Elisabeth Buecher thinks she may have a solution to the super long showering problem- a shower curtain that evicts you when you've been in the shower too long.
Elisabeth's curtain, part of her "My Shower Curtain Is A Green Warrior" collection, features "spikes" that inflate after a certain amount of time, turning that shower karaoke session into a dangerous affair:
“These curtains are not really for marketing but aim at provoking a debate around water issues,” Buecher said. “If you don’t want to get trapped you have to get out before it does and stop damaging the environment.”

Don't know about the US, but most showers in the UK are electric. Not those scary things that sit on the end of the arm above your head, but proper wall-mounted things with safe wiring.
The device would be on the other side of the shower wall, so to be reset one would need to leave the shower stall.
