Fans of fine art will appreciate this fascinating and rare footage of French impressionist Claude Monet painting in the gardens at Giverny that he made famous through his works. The film was captured in the summer of 1915, and features the artist painting on a large canvas beside a lily pond. Monet was 74 years old at the time. Via Open Culture

I kept thinking that the long cigarette ash would fall into his paint or be blown onto the painting. It was very distracting.
