A Dark End for Winnie the Pooh

There's a tender line of friendship attributed to the titular character in the Winnie the Pooh stories:

If you live to be 100, I want to live to be 100 minus one day, so I never have to live without you.

Jonathan Crossfield says that it's aprocryphal, which is probably for the best. Christopher Robin needs to find relationships that are less clingy.
