Often it appears as if mainstream Hollywood filmmakers are out of fresh ideas. Between all of the reboots, comics brought to life, sequels and other new presentations of largely unoriginal content, one has cause to wonder. While the subject has been prior cause for debate, there are always new takes on the not-so-new premise pool in film. Care to opine? Before you do, take a look at this list of 139 movie sequels currently in the works and see if it feeds your thought process.

You're right, I didn't really mean to call Expendables or Transformers "amazing".

expendables 1 was pretty crappy, actually. i'll admit that #2 was complete#2 though.

But if the original was not amazing, sometimes a sequel is. See: X-Men 2, Terminator 2, Aliens, and the upcoming D.A.R.Y.L. 2.0

Even if the the original was amazing, expect any sequel/prequel to be AWFUL. For any movies I like, I want there NOT to be a sequel, because they will ruin the original. See: Terminator 3, Indiana Jones 4, Machete Kills, Dumb and Dumber To, The Expendables, Transformers, etc.
