Considering Space Ghost's original run from 1966-67 consisted of only 20 episodes, and less than 90 minutes of animation, Space Ghost should hold his cowled head up high and celebrate the success he had as a talk show host.
Space Ghost: Coast To Coast made it possible for Adult Swim to blossom into the animation juggernaut it is today, and even though he's now a big man on Williams Street campus series creator Mike Lazzo started the show with a budget of zero.
So how was the first episode made? With a tape-to-tape VHS editing system and a Radio Shack mic, the episode consisting of clips from a Denzel Washington interview on CNN and old Space Ghost clips. The show has such a high quality look that you can hardly tell!
