Specialty children's bed makers Fable Bedworks created the ultimate bed for mini-astronauts to dream of their future planetary conquests. The "Deepspace Defender" bed features a counter balanced twin bed that raises and lowers with a control switch, built-in lights controlled by an electronic membrane keypad and hidden shelving on either side of the bed. At a price of $14,300, the bed is expensive enough to prepare parents for the cost of space camp and the necessary education in preparation for astronaut training.
