Banksy Returns To His Roots In Gaza

Just when you thought Banksy was starting to mellow he has made a grand reappearance in Gaza, and shared his new works with the world on his website.

Banksy has been an active part of the graffiti scene in Bristol since the 90s, but the series of images he painted on the side of the Israeli West Bank barrier back in 2005 made the world take notice. Since then he has made quite a chunk of change for himself and garnered famous fans like Brad Pitt, but his recent works simply haven't had the same political energy as those West Bank works.

Well, it seems Banksy has come full circle, and his return to overtly political street art has brought him back to that war-torn region that made him a household name.

The artist recently posted four new pieces on his website that he painted in Gaza, along with a satirical travel video possibly shot by Banksy himself.

One of Banksy's pieces includes this rather thought provoking message to the world:

If we wash our hands of the conflict between the powerful and the powerless we side with the powerful- we don't remain neutral.
