How Opening the Car Door is Like Playing Roller Bowler

Remember the roller bowler game (also called "dip bowling") at the carnival? You've been playing that - in car form - all your adult lives, according to Justin Boyd of Invisible Bread.

By the way, just like the carnival, the car always wins.

Costco (Canada, at least) has wide parking spaces with a double white line divider between them. Very considerate of them, at the expense of losing maybe a fifth of the lot space.

When I first began coming to SW FL where I now live, most folks seemed to drive Lincoln Town cars or big Caddy sedans. The parking spaces were so wide a person exiting a normal sized car could push the door open wide without worrying about hitting a car parked next to them. Lately it seems that parking spaces have become narrower and it is not longer the case. The hassle is then you get a pair of Lincoln Navigators parked on each side. Makes backing out very hazardous.
