The Newest Phone

So, you got a new smartphone! Congratulations. You probably got it because it’s lightweight, sleek, and looks good. The first thing you want to do is protect it from any danger. Meanwhile, my $50 dumb phone can withstand an earthquake because it’s too dumb to die. This is the latest from Doghouse Diaries.

I don't want a skinny phone... I always demand a slider, which are quite a bit thicker, but well worth it for the saved screen real-estate and dramatically faster input. In the past, I've avoided AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile, because they didn't have decent choices of sliders at the time I was considering switching to their services.

Things improved for a while, but seem to be backsliding once again. Sliders usually have terribly out of date versions of Android, smaller batteries, etc. On the plus side, it's easier to avoid the huge-screen-you-can't-operate-with-one-hand craze, too.
