UPDATE 8/10/14: Commenter tikibaca gives us reason to think that the eager McDonald's customer isn't riding a gurney:
Not a gurney, it's a customized power wheelchair for a person whom for whatever reason can only lay on their stomach. Maybe they didn't come from a hospital, could be just someone who wanted to enjoy Micky D's like anyone else...

When you need a McRib fix, you've got to head to a McDonald's restaurant right away. Sure, you're hospitalized. But you can't let a minor inconvenience like that distract you from what's important. If necessary, do what this man did: strap yourself to a motorized gurney and pilot it to the McDonald's. A 22 Words reader describes the scene:
My wife and I decided to visit Fort Monroe in Hampton, VA, on our vacation. When we got to the top of the offramp, we saw this man, completely strapped to a motorized gurney, going down the sidewalk. He went to the first intersection, crossed the street to McDonalds, and ordered his food through the drive-thru window. I would love to know his story, but whatever it is, he must LOVE McDonalds!
