Sylva Hattington is both a milliner and a photographer. She combines them in a project called Deck of Hats, in which she makes, photographs, and posts new art hats on a regular basis.
Welcome to my new project, Deck of Hats! Once a week(ish) for the next year I am going to shoot some of the beautiful people in my life wearing my headdress creations. This idea came to mind when I was thinking of a way to expand my photography skills as well as expand my hat portfolio. I am very blessed to live in a decadent photo studio and so all the pieces fit together perfectly, and I decided to be brave and “just do it” :-)
Some hats took more than a week, but the project rolls on. Hattington is up to thirty hats now, which you can see at her Deck of Hats blog. The hats are for sale, too, through her Etsy shop Bubbles and Frown. -Thanks, Joseph Francis!
