The first window from the Casa Batlló is much more remarkable than expected on the first sight.
This window of Casa Batlló represents the mouth of a dragon such as the roof of this building represents the back of the dragon.
The single window panels may be slid upwards as in the case of US-style sliding windows. However if you slide all window panels open there is a continuous opening from the right stone frame to the left stone frame without any intermediate struts. In this way the dragon may completely open his mouth.
For me it is more an inhabitable piece of art than just a house.
