The Playfully Critical Works Of Eric Yahnker

The main focus of multimedia artist Eric Yahnker’s bold and colorful works seems to be the inherent absurdity of modern culture, with the far too pervasive influence of pop culture and the reduction of many powerful symbols into an ironic mockery of their former selves.

Eric’s chosen mediums range from colored pencil to wood, and his works make statements which range from hilariously ridiculous to thought provoking and a bit sad.

Put them all together in a gallery setting you’ve got a show that "strives to navigate the muddy, frequently strained gulf between the reception of recent US affairs at home and abroad."

His solo exhibition, aptly entitled Sticks & Drones, is currently on display at London's Paradise Row gallery.
