Food for Thought on a Billboard

A new billboard at the corner of North Highland and Lexington in Los Angeles has people wanting to know the rest of the story. You might want to fill in the blanks yourself as to what happened to Steve before you learn the truth, because the actual story is not quite as exciting as it should be.

John Long: "Let me give you a little backstory: my company is Buddha Jones, and we do advertising for films and video games -- trailers, ads, that sort of thing. We got a second building recently, on Highland. One of the perks of this building is that they have a billboard, which we have the opportunity to use X number of weeks a year. We thought, "Wow, we can do anything we want with this billboard. We can advertise ourselves in a conventional way, or we can do something that makes people's drive in the morning more interesting. We opted for the second option."

Of course, having to explain all this on the internet is exactly like advertising your business, but at least it’s more entertaining than a straightforward billboard. And yes, Steve works for the company and that is his picture on the sign. -via reddit
