A mysterious artist named Sandcastle Matt makes gravity-defying sand sculptures on the beaches of Massachusetts. Since 2004, he's made about 30 of them using what he finds on the beach. He uses sticks and sometimes string or twine. Matt makes frames out of them, then drips wet sand in layers over those structures. The results are beautiful and haunting.
