When the news emerged in 1998 that then-president Bill Clinton had an affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky, it eventually led to his impeachment on charges of lying about it. Most folks rolled their eyes and pulled out the popcorn for the spectacle, knowing that many presidents got away with such activities before Monicagate, and presidents afterward would know better than to try. The news media had a field day, but “the media” is different now. In the wake of Lewinsky's interview at Vanity Fair, you have to wonder how the various websites on the internet would present the story in 2014. Buzzfeed ran with the idea, and did mockups of websites from Gawker to The Oatmeal to Twitter. Contains large NSFW text. They didn’t neglect to poke a little fun at themselves, too, with a typical meaningless quiz.
