I've learned that in carpentry--well, in most things in life--you can never have too many clamps. Large c-clamps are useful in both the home and the workshop. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that Yael Zwickel, an industrial designer in Kfar Netter, Israel, developed a set specifically for creating impromptu tables. Get a few of them and wrap them around a book, a board, a picture, or even a frying pan, and you'll have a table.
