Adam Walker is an open water adventure swimmer. That means that he swims long distances in ocean waters that are often hazardous for humans.
Recently, he swam across the Cook Strait, the body of water that divides the North and South Islands of New Zealand. During his 8 hour, 36 minute crossing, he spotted a 2-meter long shark shadowing him.
Thankfully, the shark never attacked him. Walker attributes his safety to a pod of dolphins that soon formed around him, escorting him for more than an hour. Sometimes the dolphins came so close that they brushed against him.
I offer a brofist to them for their mammalian solidary. Go Team Mammal!

Dolphins:
"Gawwwd, he's so slooow. Why are we -doing- this??"
"I kinda feel sorry for him."
"I've seen faster ice chunks."
"That's what I mean."
Shark:
"I was just looking! Sometimes I just look -- OKAY?"
