They've crunched the numbers to find which states are the most average in the U.S. The word “average” probably is more applicable than “normal,” because who is to say what normal really is? Anyway, they had the statistics on average Americans and compared them to statistics of states to find the closest match in things like income, family composition, education, race, language, and employment. I’ll go ahead and tell you that Illinois is the most average state, which won’t surprise you, but there’s also the top 11 average states, and the factors that make them that way, at Business Insider. -via Digg
