The other day we asked how many classic movies you’ve seen from a list of 200 at Buzzfeed. Now there’s another list of 170 movies that most folks consider pretty bad. How many have you seen? There are a few on the list that I’ve only seen because I posted an article about them. Some are so comically bad that we watch them as comedies, even though that wasn’t the original intent, as any MST3K fan will tell you. The only one that made me walk out of a theater was Howard the Duck, although I have fallen asleep in a theater during a few (Zardoz comes to mind). I’ve managed to avoid most of the newer ones. Eddie Deezen expressed surprise that he was only in one of them. And there is probably a movie or two in here that you loved, even if others didn’t. -via Eddie Deezen
Some of these, despite being bad, should be sat through once, like Zardoz and Plan 9 from Outer Space.
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is so wonderfully bad that it should really count double.
1) If it has Robin Williams or Adam Sandler, it's probably a bad movie. Let us pray those two never make a movie together;
2) I must be the only person who liked Lady in the Water and Godzilla;
3) Worst movie I've ever seen was Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (only made it through about 15 minutes). It deserves to be on the list.
Oh, and since they edited them down, I'm not sure about a big chunk of the start of the list that I watched on MST3K over the years.
I did see several in the theaters over the years though (like Howard the Duck, Highlander 2: The Sickening and Glen or Glenda, as I recall) so hopefully that evens things out.
