How to Make a Solargraph Camera from a Beer Can

Photographer Justin Quinnell developed the Beer Can Solargraph Camera to track the path of the sun over several months as a project for his students. It’s a simple pinhole camera, strapped into place for months at a time, made with common materials. The complete instructions are at Popular Science, which you can supplement with a video of Quinnell showing you how it’s done. If you’re going to try this project, the video has a lot of advice on the best way to perform each step.
