Ever since 9-11 the laws governing once innocuous activities, like photography and forms of communication, have become massive gray areas. Some people and places don’t have a problem with photographers, others treat you like a suspected terrorist the minute you whip out a camera or smartphone to snap a pic, and the rules seem to be constantly changing as lawmakers see fit.
So where does a photographer in America stand in terms of the First Amendment?
