If you give engineers duct tape and free time, this is what happens. To celebrate National Engineers Week, engineers at a Lockheed Martin facility in Liverpool, New York held a duct tape contest. 6 teams had 10 minutes to use tape to attach a teammate to the wall. The team whose engineer hung suspended in the air the longest won the contest.
Chris Erat, a systems engineer, remained on the wall for 15 minutes. But that's not the end of the competition. There are still catapult and golf ball drop contests in order to determine an overall winner.
