For 15 years, Tim Linhart has led the Swedish musical group Ice Music. Except for the strings, frets and other essential parts, the instruments are made of ice. Yes, the body of that cello consists of sheets of ice. Linhart sculpts them himself. It can take him a week to build just one.
The group performs many classical pieces, often on violins, violas and cellos. But they also sometimes take up country and bluegrass tunes. Other instruments include 6 and 12-string guitars, xylophones and spherical drums.
