Don't Use Two Pieces of Furniture When You Can Just Use One

I'm a big fan of Alton Brown and one of his major beliefs is that you should never buy a tool with only one function. While he's specifically talking about kitchen utensils, it's a philosophy that can apply to many other things -for example, your living room furniture. And with the Rise collection of furniture by Note Design Studio, you can skip having a separate coffee table and a couch in favor of having just one piece of furniture you can sit on and store your magazines or drinks on.

Read more about the design and see more great pictures at Homes and Hues: The Coffee Table and Couch In One

Where's the coffee table? How's a person on (our) right supposed to put his/her glass down? It's an blah looking couch that really doesn't function as a combined coffee table and couch so much as a coffee table and end table
