I don't know about you guys, but I could certainly live without seeing the crew from The Breakfast Club getting back together ten years after they met in detention on that fateful day. Similarly, I'm pretty glad I never saw Ferris Bueller and Cameron take a day off in their 40's. And these are only two of the many terrible sequel ideas in this great Mental Floss article, although the worst almost certainly has to be the ET sequel that would have featured Elliot getting captured by evil aliens and ET having to rescue him.
The only movie on the list that I really like is Office Space. A sequel would risk damaging that perfect movie.

I had read that the sequel to Forrest Gump wasn't made because the author of the book, Winston Groom, would not sign a deal because his deal on the first movie was for 3% of the "accounting profit", and by Hollywood accounting practices, Forrest Gump actually lost money, so Groom made exactly $0 on it and therefore was not going to sign over the rights to his second Gump book.
