A Young Tim Burton Working at Disney

(Video Link)

From 1979 to 1984, filmmaker Tim Burton worked as an animator at Disney. This 40-second video shows two office jerks interrupting his work and harassing him. I wonder where their careers are, right now, compared to Mr. Burton’s?

Tim Burton’s first job at Disney was as an animator for The Fox and the Hound. Later, he pitched concept designs for The Black Cauldron. They weren’t used, but Disney let him make a stop-motion short film called Vincent. It's a humorous and dark film about a 7-year old boy who thinks that he’s Vincent Price.

He also made a short film called Frankenweenie about a boy who revives his dead dog. Disney did not promote promote the film. It was only in 2012 that Burton could release a feature-length version.

Ahem. The two "office jerks" are John Lasseter (filming) and Disney animator Randy Cartwright. Google them ;)

This segment was filmed in 1980 and is part of "The Pixar Story" (2007).
