Yesterday, a new world record for the longest basketball shot was broken by Harlem Globetrotters rookie Thunder Law. From up on the stands on the opposite end of the arena at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona, he lobbed a basketball 109 feet, nine inches in front of representatives from the Guinness Book of World Records -and plenty of cameras. Three points! You have to wonder how many shots were tried before one connected. The stunt was part of the annual Guinness World Records Day, in which events are held in many locations. -via Daily Picks and Flicks
