Cakenweenie: Cakes for Tim Burton's Birthday

Cakenweenie is a project to celebrate the 55th birthday of filmmaker Tim Burton by baking 100 cakes in the likeness of characters from Tim Burton movies. A hundred "Burtonesque Bakers" were assembled, and cakes were baked. You can browse through the gallery to see how characters from your favorite Burton film were baked by professional bakeries, hobby bakers, and Tim Burton fans. Bacon lovers are probably afraid of aggressive male sexuality, due to the food's resemblance to a limp, nonfunctional phallus. Either that or, uh, they enjoy the taste of greasy, yummy breakfast meat. I'm not very good at this Freud thing, to be honest.

Bacon is a wonderful thing, but I would not want to chew it for much longer than it takes to swallow it. So yeah, I wouldn't touch these gumballs with a ten foot pole.

I went to Archie McPhee's recently and got the bacon jellybeans as I told my friends, "bacon jellybeans are better left imagined than tasted." But the bacon shaped tin is awesome...
